2 Quick Apply Full-time 3 days ago Full Job Description Purdue University and the Division of Finance are looking for someone with working knowledge of financial, data management systems, student aid processes, and the ability to manipulate data to provide accurate and meaningful information to fill the role of Associate Bursar of Accounting.
As the Associate Bursar, you will be Responsible for configuring student systems to ensure the generation of appropriate accounting entries for post-to-general ledger accounts.
Responsible for ensuring internal controls are present within student system accounting processes, including but not limited to balancing student system subsidiary accounts to the budget and general ledger.
Serve as the liaison between the Bursar's Office, Financial Aid office, and SPS managing Federal & State Cash Reconciliations and Draw Down requests.
Oversee the FWS Payroll Reconciliation processes.
Manage the financial aspects of the scholarship and outside award processes.
Recruit, Supervise, and retain clerical staff.

BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field Four years of accounting, fund accounting, financial systems, receivables management, customer service, or directly related experience An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Ability to integrate concepts from multiple areas with a focus on detail, organization, and accuracy Ability to synthesize large and/or complex data into meaningful insights Ability to prepare materials for clearly and effectively communicating information to internal and external audiences and executive management Demonstrated time management, priority, and forecasting skills, and the ability to analyze, evaluate and deliver results Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate University policies and procedures Excellent communication (verbal/ written), planning, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and customer service skills Demonstrated ability to clearly and timely communicate, verbally and in writing, with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect for others Excellent communication skills to successfully participate in system-wide campus and external committees Demonstrated organizational skills, balancing workload and developing plans to effectively complete assignments and multi-task within a multi-deadline environment Preferred:
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
higher education, enrollment management, recruitment, admissions, institutional research, marketing, registrar functionality, and enterprise data systems Knowledge of University, federal, and state regulations regarding student record privacy and the release of student data Experience in student-related services and federal financial aid regulations Additional Information:
