Administrative Clerk - Archivist

Job SummaryThe Administrative Clerk - Archivist (Facilities Archives Technician) executes tasks to support Administrative Operations construction archives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, organizing, arranging, and maintaining the facilities plan room containing records representing the built history of the University.
You will collect, evaluate and make records available by digitizing records and content.
This position will perform quality control of records and metadata by running queries and reports.
Scan and import records of a variety of sizes, conditions, and formats into construction archive database and apply consistent indexing for reliable retrieval.
You will evaluate requests and recommend the best available resources to assist in finding the most appropriate solution for their needs.
You will also collaborate with Information Technology on upgrades to the construction archives database and equipment needs.
This position requires lifting and placing boxes of records on shelving units, which weigh upwards of 40lbs and using step ladders.
Additionally, the position also requires placing drawing sets in flat files.
Drawing sets can weigh up to 20 lbs.
and are awkward to move and place in file order within the shelves.
This position will be a hybrid position with you working part of the time on campus and the remaining remotely.

High school diploma/GED Preference towards degree or coursework in an information science or social science field such as informatics, management information systems, library science, history, or anthropology Four (4) years of experience managing records and information Experience with scanning hardware/ software and document management systems Skills Needed:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
