9K a year Job Summary The Payroll Administrator directs bi-weekly and monthly payroll end to end runs, which includes auditing all process steps to ensure accuracy, identifying and investigating problems and coordinating issue or error resolution to ensure an accurate payroll result for all employees.
Responsible for identifying, recovering, and clearing overpayments and execute settlement payments.
Reconcile payroll accounts on a monthly basis.
Develop/recommend training initiatives and materials and work in cooperation with staff in organizational effectiveness in final documentation and course setup and scheduling.
Conduct or assist with payroll training sessions as needed.
Work as a team with other payroll staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
Administer payroll end to end runs, which includes auditing all process steps to ensure accuracy.
Identify and investigate problems and coordinate with the HRIS support team and other payroll staff on issue and error resolution to ensure an accurate payroll result for all employ.
Schedule and submit job requests as needed.
Administer off-cycle payrolls end to end.
Review, investigate, and problem solve final time and cost distribution errors, overpayments and execute settlement payments.
Issue replacement payments (bank returns, uncashed, replacements).
Perform any other payroll process to ensure all recoveries and/or corrections are cleared through financial postings (221 process).
Perform account reconciliations for direct deposits and check clearing accounts.
Assist in developing payroll calendars and ensure correct setup in the payroll system (ECP).
Identify system issues, recommend solutions, work with other payroll staff in testing and implementation of final solutions.
Partner with the HRIS support team and payroll business analyst in testing any payroll system upgrades and/or enhancements.
Identify training initiatives and partner with organization Effectiveness team in developing, reviewing, and presenting training materials to university customers.
Support review of process documentation and communication to university business partners.
Support Payroll leadership in completing other work-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Management or Computer-related field Three or more years of work experience that includes but is not limited to Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, or Accounting business-related experience Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of required education and related work experience Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate university policies and procedures Excellent communication (oral & written), planning, problem-solving, analytic, project administration and customer support skills Interpersonal competencies in customer focus, teamwork/collaboration, and coaching/mentoring system end users Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels Experience with personal computer and related software skills (ex.
Word processing, spreadsheets, database, data query, internet etc.
) Demonstrated ability to analyze operations, foster change and effectively work as a team Ability to effectively communicate with large or small groups of people through written and verbal communication What We Want You to Know:
