Senior Systems Engineer

The Senior Systems Engineer will manage the daily infrastructure operations of the Purdue Veterinary College by maintaining and monitoring network server hardware and software. Plan, schedule, and perform hardware and software preventative maintenance as required. Perform emergency maintenance as required. Work with faculty, staff, and vendor support personnel on specialized equipment. Work on assigned projects to enhance educational and research computing in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Work with faculty and staff to resolve tier III technical support issues. Qualifications  Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Four years working in an enterprise IT environment. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required experience. Demonstrated knowledge of system administration, information security, server and network hardware and software, and Microsoft Active Directory Familiarity with IP networking, host registrations, and DHCP configuration Custom application installation and support. Good written and verbal communication skills. Valid US or Canadian driver's license.  Preferred: Project management experience.  Polycom or other video and audio conferencing systems experience. Experience with Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) including packaging and deploying applications, creating custom queries and reports, and troubleshooting issues. Windows server installation, configuration and support experience. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
